Planting Instructions:
Before planting, outside temperature needs to be at a minimum of 45°F at night and 70°F in daytime.
Choose a location with well-drained soil. Loosen soil prior to planting.
Dig a hole in loosened soil 2 to 4 times the size of the bulb (about 6″” deep). Place bulb with the blunt side facing down and any sprouts facing up.
Plant Elephant ear bulbs so the top of the bulb is about 1-2″ below the soil surface and each bulb about 12-24″ apart.
Cover with soil and water well so that the soil above the bulbs settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater.
*Elephant Ears will start growing once the soil temperature reaches 65°F or warmer. In cooler climates (zones 3-8), Elephant ears will grow as an annual.
PLEASE NOTE: These bulbs cannot be shipped to Hawaii

Quick shipping and great quality of plant.

Very well packaged for shipping. Bulbs appear very healthy – firm, no rot or soft spots. Clear instructions with photos are an added bonus. I went out on a limb on one bulb, as it was expensive, but I’m excited to see the results. I’ll post a photo when I have a plant!
