When I was younger, I was a huge fan of donuts. I loved the crunch of the donut, a little bit of sweetness of the sugar, and the deep, warm sweetness of the frosting. In the early years, I was also very picky about the donuts. I was always on the lookout for a donut that was a little bit different than the traditional, but was still tasty.
I’ve since moved on to more challenging flavors, but one thing I noticed while researching donut flavors is that most donut flavors tend to be very similar. With that in mind, I decided to create a list of the top 100 donut flavors and come up with my own list.
The most popular donut flavors in the U.S. are those with peanut butter as a base. I chose to go with vanilla vanilla. This is probably the most versatile of all the donut flavors, and if you are looking for a new flavor, this is also a good choice. Ive also included Chocolate Fudge, which is a donut with chocolate frosting.
I’ve also included a new donut flavor from the New York City-based company Pecan Street Bakery. The name of the donut flavor is Funfetti, which is a play on the Italian word for “fun.” I chose it because it incorporates all of the classic donut flavors in one bite.
I was hesitant to add a new donut flavor to the website just because they are so new. I love the way they look and taste, but I wasn’t sure if I could do anything with them. I’m glad I was proven wrong. This is a fantastic new flavor to try. I’ve had it on my blog for a few weeks, but I haven’t tried it yet. I’ve got to try it soon.
In its current incarnation, Funfetti is a dessert that’s a little different to the kind of donut flavor that I like to call it. It’s more like a chocolate chip cookie and more like a cookie with an almond butter cookie instead of chocolate chips. I’ll give it a try tomorrow.
