The custard pie was invented in the 1700s by a woman named Sally Goddard. She was a baker in New England and her pies were so good they were called “custard pies.” She went to a party one night and was so excited about the pie she just flew out to the kitchen and made one.
There’s more to the pie than that. The pastry crust is so thick and the pie is so thick, it’s like a bucket of water. The pie itself is so good, but it’s so slow and so filling. I’ve never had a baby pie yet, but I like to think it’s a great invention.
